Lee Phillips, National Director
Lee trained at Goldsmiths College as a secondary English teacher, working in London and East Anglia. After school leadership, he began work as a school improvement specialist in British and American schools. Led by values and principles, Lee joined CSNET as National Director in December 2020. He is committed to building the voice of cooperation across the education sector, and securing inclusion, equity and success across all member schools.
Jon O’Connor, Chair of Coop Schools
Jon trained at Goldsmiths College as a primary teacher, later holding several school leadership posts in London and Hertfordshire. He led a 50-provider school partnership in Harlow, also contributing to a number of large scale regeneration and education programmes.
He has supported around 100 Coop schools in developing Coop partnerships, as Regional Adviser with the Coop College, and developed LASER/CSNET as the forerunner of Coop Schools. Jon currently chairs our National Advisory Board and remains deeply committed to the Coop Values and Principles which he believes should underpin all public service education.
Susan Dobbs, North Regional Ambassador
Originally from County Durham, Susan attained an MA in Education Management at the University of Hull whilst working as a Senior Leader in Hull and East Yorkshire in primary and secondary education. Passionate about improving the educational outcomes and life chances of young people, she has been a Headteacher, School Inspector and more recently a Director of School Improvement and CEO of a Trust. Susan joined CSNET in October 2019 and leads the CSNET Northern Regional Advisory Board and is a CSNET and SCS board member. She is focused on CSNET’s drive for school improvement and embedding practices grounded in Cooperative Values and Principles.
Andy Ward, Central Regional Ambassador
Andy has a MSc in Strategic Human Resource Management from Nottingam Trent University and in addition to his Coop School’s activities, works as a business and management development consultant. Andy leads the CSNET Central Regional Advisory Board and is a CSNET and SCS board member. He also leads on financial regulation for Coop Schools. He is a firm advocate for inclusion and cooperation in the education sector.
Alan Norley, London and South East Regional Ambassador
Alan has been involved in national and international educational leadership and governance for over 45 years. His passion for inclusive and collaborative education has led to him chairing Cooperative Foundation Trusts in Kent and acting as the ambassador for the London and South East Region.
John Draper, West Regional Ambassador
